Knocked Off The Pedastal.

Sometimes we give people a pedestal, a platform.

We give them accolades and bestow upon them their achievements over their behavior.

And sometimes we need to be reminded that they don't deserve the gratitude.

Just sometimes, we need to rip them off of their pedestals all together.

Just because they may have done great things in life doesnt mean that they weren't anything but horrible people in all honesty.

We need to:

Tear them down.

Stop erasing their bad decisions.

For sometimes we must recognize that people are horrible.

Death does not undo their horribleness.

Death doesn't undo bad decisions.

But with life, we seem to exaualt them and forget who they were in life and in living.

No.

It doesn't work that way.

Death doesn't, and should never permit shitty behavior.

Because in life it doesn't.

Sometimes we need to take the doll off the shelf and say you aren't as pretty as I wanted you to be.

And that is tough.

Terrible, but true .

Life is an evolution.

One that is tough, but also one that keeps us all on our toes.

So break out your ballet shoes because life is a difficult dance.

But with the right shoes?

I love to think we will figure this out.

One day, and one dance, and one step at a time.

I am here for it.

XOXO,

C.
