Give Them A Show.

From the time I was a little girl I was a "performer."

I would get this step stool thing at my grandmother's house, put on my Annie wig and sing for her dinner guests.

Side note, I am tone deaf.

None the less, I belted out those lyrics with confidence.

I thought I was a super star.

As of late?

Not so much.

My parents always said I was destined to be famous, that said, did they mean like Taylor Swift famous or a Bonnie type famous?

Guess time will tell.

I am a firm believer that we all have a gift to give to the world.

A story to tell, and that we are all a sight that deserves to be seen.

Most recently mine includes me chasing after an Aldi bag that got swept away on the beach.

Two out of three cherubs joined me to go shelling and witnessed their mother, a one time cross country champion, nearly have a heart attack to make sure that bag didn't enter the ocean and kill any turtles or seagulls.

I am thoughtful like that.

My son later told me other visitors to the beach were laughing at said nerd, aka me, running to hunt down this bag with a metal detector under my armpit, oh yeah let's add that to the story, because I was in full on nerd mode with headphones on attached to said device, because I am determined to find treasure besides a beer can, which is all I ever find; but all these metal detecting headphones seem to find is my sanity slipping away, I digress.

Anyways I gave those people a show.

I gave my kids a good laugh.

I didn't charge for their front row seats ofcourse because I am

generous like that.

But yet once again, it reminded me to just be you.

The messy, the silly, the stupid and even the sad...

Give the world your show.

The ones who will smile at it?

Invite those people a bit closer.

The ones who frown?

Well that is on them.

In the interim?

Just keep on keeping on.

In the meantime I will be here recovering from my 200 meter dash to save the ocean from more pollution.

Universe, you're welcome.

Xoxo,

C.

Goodbyes.

Not quite my thing. I am more of a "hello" person truth be told. But aren't we all? It's way more fun to meet people than let them go. The novelty of meeting some is superb. It is a romantic concept

Thankful.

As Thanksgiving has once again come and gone I find myself lamentful, but supremely thankful. And yet, I find myself reliving a day that will forever haunt me. Newport was ours. So spending this first

True Love.

A person who truly loves you should admire you like a piece of art. They should hang you on a wall and just stare at you and smile. They should love the view, and enjoy every minute. Because they love
