Adult Excitement.

As I entered my local grocery store this morning, I became giddy.

Why?

They had all new shopping carts.

Yes, this is what gets me excited now.

Brand spanking new shopping carts.

The wheels intact, able to corner on a dime.

I remember watching a documentary that actually talked about the birth of the shopping cart, and how it was actually hard to convince people to use them.

They were seen as cumbersome.

Clunky.

If you have ever shopped at Christmas Tree Shop, I am convinced those actually might be the first prototypes ever invented.

Man those carts blow.

Imagine they had showed them how big a cart at Costco be?

Or that some parent hating inventor would attach a toy car to the front of the cart, adding an additional 25 feet?

Anyways, I surely stayed much longer than I would have as I perused every single aisle, effortlessly.

Gliding up and down admiring all the displays.

Today also confirmed a sneaking suspicion I have been ignoring, I am old.

This proves it.

Yet, I challenge you to not smile when your grocery store gets new carts.

In fact, I dare you.

Xoxo,

C.
