Death In A Hallway.

I recently had an experience with one of my kids in the ER.

It brought back one of the worst ER experiences I had ever had.

The first?

My mother being put in a room across from the place where he, and he being my father, had been put dead, not even 3 months prior.

This experience was different.

He was in the hallway of the ER when we were told he had inoperable terminal brain cancer.

If you could have taken a nine iron to my chest?

Go for it

Here we were, the nicest guy ever, being told he was going to die, and didn't even have his own room.

He was in a hallway.

An ER HALLWAY.

The more I think about it, the more I want to scream.

I have no clue how he got through it.

Perhaps I also ask myself how I did either .

But we did

With lots of laughs and an equal amount of tears.

But that hallway part.

That grabs me; it stalls me.

No one should ever have to face that diagnosis, let alone in a hallway.

That bothers me.

It stung and it stings.

Because it is wrong.

I am done with wrong.

I am over dealing with people who are callous and unashamed.

Those doctors could have been and done better.

I cant stand people who just don't care to be right.

The world is full of wrongs.

Be a right.

I will try.

Xoxo,

C.
