A Dog That Lost Their Human.

I have 3 dogs.

Amazing cute doggie pies.

A big one, middle sized one, and a tiny.

Cute, crazy, little, AND big, make up the "pack" I have assembled.

But I love them all.

I was playing around with them when a certain name came up.

Their faces froze.

They became melancholy.

Sad.

I think as humans, we forget that dogs, and most animals, they too, have memories and feelings.

I realized that just because we forget that we have lost someone close to us, that they did too, the incident wasn't insularly.

They too can mourn a human, but just in a different doggie form.

Animals bond too.

Dammit, just when I didn't think I needed a reminder,I got one.

We need to remember that we don't just lose our dogs; sometimes they lose their humans.

Thank you to my three furry 'dogters' for keeping me on my "paws."

Still trying my best, but at least there is some fur to wipe away the tears.

Xoxo,

C.
